Sports Massage Therapy

Sports massage has a many of benefits for athletes of all levels. It can help improve range of motion and muscle flexibility, reduce muscle spasms and metabolic build-up, enhances circulation and reduces excess muscle tension, reduces stiffness and soreness, shortens recovery time between workouts, and relieves conditions which may cause injury. The typical session will incorporate several techniques, including deep tissue, trigger point, myofascial release, joint movements, muscle energy techniques, circulation enhancement, and facilitated stretches. The goals in sports massage are improving the athlete’s performance, preventing trauma or injury, and providing relief to painful and overworked muscles.
